Set on a quiet cul-de-sac in Montecito's Golden Quadrangle, within walking distance of the upper village, this newly completed residence is an architectural work by Manuel Cervantes, one of the few ground-up offerings the neighborhood has seen in years.

The Mexico City architect drew on mid-century California modernism, arranging the home as a single-level, pavilion-style composition. A low-pitched roof underlines its horizontal form, which sits gently across the site, and glass-and-timber entry doors frame a sightline straight through to the pool, lawn, and gardens beyond.
Natural Materials

The main pavilion and two smaller wings form a U around the central courtyard and lap pool, linked by glazed walkways that keep the garden always in view. The kitchen, living, and dining rooms share the main pavilion with three en suite bedrooms, one wing holds the primary suite, and the other a guest room and study.
Light and Proportion

The material palette is warm and understated: timber, plaster, brick, and stone, wide oak floors, custom joinery from the cabinetry to the fireplace surround, and skylights that wash the rooms in soft overhead light.
Interiors by Corinne Mathern carry that warmth through 6,000 square feet of light-filled living, with stone basins, hand-carved timber, linen, and rattan lending a quiet, collected ease. Five bedrooms and seven baths, completed in 2026.
A collaboration between Cervantes, Mathern, and Plus Development, Stone Meadow Lane is an embodiment of Montecito living at its finest: comfort, privacy, and a deep sense of place. The sale closed in July 2026 for $16,500,000.
